Assessment of Moroccan Children’s Dental Anxiety at Ibn Rochd Dental University Center

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate dental anxiety in a group children undergoing treatment the Pedodontics Department at Ibn Rochd Dental University Center Casablanca. Materials and Methods: assessed different ways cohort 150 aged 4-13 years, stratified by age group. In first group, 4-8 self-report based on Facial Image Scale (FIS) used. second 8-13 Anxiety (DAS) employed. All underwent heteroevaluation Modified Venham Scale. Factors that might account for presence were identified through an interview with parents. Statistical analyses performed using SPSS software Laboratory Community Health, Epidemiology Biostatistics Faculty Medicine Results: Of 5.3% reported have moderate (DAS score ranging from 13 17), 1.7% reporting reluctance clinical examination. 24% considered themselves unhappy or very (FIS=4 5) time consultation, 14% Conclusion: across tested suggests need combining sedation psychological interventions control anxiety-related variables potentially affecting children’s outcomes.
